3. Toews vs. Crosby in home-and-home January 5th and 6th

The debate over the best player in the NHL could gain some clarity in early January as the Blackhawks play a home-and-home series with the Penguins in consecutive days. The Hawks travel to Pittsburgh to start the series Jan. 5, then travel back to Chicago for a rematch at the United Center Jan. 6.

Crosby is praised for his unmatched scoring ability, while Toews has a ton of talent, but disperses it in a more varied fashion that doesn’t always show up on the score sheet. The NHL knows what it’s doing by pitting these two stars against each other twice in consecutive days.
