Good Morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Well, that was one big surprise that Stan Bowman threw at us on Tuesday afternoon. After speculating about when and where Patrick Sharp would be traded for over two weeks, Bowman goes and trades 22 year old Brandon Saad to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

This was a complete shock to me, on Monday night the stories got out that Stan Bowman and Saad’s Camp were way off when it came to dollars which seemed like something an agent would leak out to the media in an attempt to get more dollars for his agent.  I really didn’t think much of the reporting except for the fact that it meant Sharp wasn’t in the news for a night.

It’s very Saad to see Brandon go especially with everything he’s done at the ripe old age of 22, and Chicago Blackhawks fans have to be a bit dissallutioned because we were told from day one even if a team signed Saad to an offer sheet he was going to be a Chicago Blackhawks star for years to come, and in an instant he’s gone! Thanks Brandon for all of the memories in such a short time, and here are some morning links to kick off your Wednesday morning.
