Chicago Blackhawks Morning LInks- Vermette & Richards Gone

By Keith Schultz

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! After a shocking day of Brandon Saad getting traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Chicago Blackhawks said goodbye to a couple more players that helped them win the 2015 Stanley Cup when Antoine Vermette re-signed with the Arizona Coyotes and Brad Richards signed with the Detroit Red Wings.

This is the norm now when the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup, the team makes a surprising trade of what was thought a key player for the long-term and anyone unrestricted does not return.  It is bittersweet to be a fan in this era of the salary cap, if you look at fans that bought Brandon Saad jerseys they never thought it would be outdated already!

The Chicago Blackhawks not only said goodbye they extended a player that has never stepped on the ice while wearing a Chicago Blackhawks uniform which makes a lot of fans uneasy! Now the question all summer will be is Artem Anisimov the real 2nd line center that the Chicago Blackhawks have so dearly wanted long-term.  There is no question that your morning links are coming up next!
