Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Well, a week after we thought for sure Patrick Sharp would be traded at the NHL Draft, and especially we all knew that Sharp would be moved at the lastest when NHL free agency opened it’s doors.. Guess what? Patrick Sharp is still a Chicago Blackhawks player, and GM Stan Bowman is reportedly still asking way too much for the 33 year old winger that has three Stanley Cups on the mantle.

There were tons of Patrick Sharp stories (we wrote quite a few ourselves) that didn’t question if but when #10 would be taking his services to another team, and yet here we are a week away from all of those statements and it’s Brandon Saad, Brad Richards, and Antoine Vermette all wearing different jerseys while Sharp is still a Blackhawk.  It’s really hard to believe.

The Chicago Blackhawks still have to shed some more salary so whether it’s Sharp or Bryan Bickell or Kris Versteeg, someone else has to go eventually before the season starts so it could be a very long summer of speculation for the Chicago Blackhawks roste, but in the meantime here are some morning links to kick off your Friday Morning.
