Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! It’s our nations birthday, so Happy 4th of July to everyone out there.  I think we have spoken a lot on our site about the history of the Chicago Blackhawks and how the military and honoring the military has been a huge part of the Chicago Blackhawks history.

So to start the 4th of July out right,  here is Jim Cornelison singing the National Anthem.

The 4th of July means fireworks, grilling, and family and friends and so I hope everyone has a great day.

Yesterday the Chicago Blackhawks roster took some more shape when Stan Bowman inked Andrew Desjardins to a 2 year deal, and now there are only a few questions left. When will Marcus Kruger sign an extension, and how long will Johnny Oduya wait for the Chicago Blackhawks to make a decision on their roster and how much will they be able to offer.

The Chicago Blackhawks two biggest questions of course will be can they find a team to trade with for Patrick Sharp or will they find a team that wants a big body and a new home for Bryan Bickell.

All the deals can wait for today because it’s the 4th of July, and here are some morning links to kick off your holiday weekend.
