Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links: Prospecting

By Keith Schultz

Good Morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks Prospect camp is in full effect, and the star of the show has to be Marko Dano.  The young prospect that had a decent opening to his NHL career with the Columbus Blue Jackets before being a part of the Brandon Saad trade.  Dano scored 8 goals and 13 assists in 35 games last year, and now he with all of the roster changes will have an excellent shot at a big role on the 2015-2016 Chicago Blackhawks team.

One thing I noticed about the prospect camp is that all the players I was excited about last year at prospect camp have mostly been traded away, and this years crop for the most part a long way aways from every playing for the Blackhawks in Chicago with the exception of Dano, Kyle Baun, and Mark McNeil.

The Chicago Blackhawks were a team built on a very young core of players, and now they look like a veteran bunch of players with very little youth around which seems like Stan has lost the way from the path that Dale Tallon planned way back when.
