Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Convention Day

By Keith Schultz

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks prospect camp ends this morning, and after that the real celebration begins at the 2015 Chicago Blackhawks convention.  The Chicago Blackhawks convention is always a celebration, but throw in the 3rd Stanley Cup in 6 seasons and this convention party is going to be off the charts.

The Chicago Blackhawks convention was a first of its kind in the NHL, and it showed fans of Chicago that things were going to turn around under the leadership of Rocky Wirtz, and now years later the party is bigger and better and there is 3 more Stanley Cups on the mantel.

As we noted some of the Blackhawks core will not be there,  Corey Crawford, Brent Seabrook, Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith, and Niklas Hjalmarsson are going to be absent from this years convention, but from what we have heard from fans on Twitter and Facebook there is really no big deal with their absence because they did all the real work in April, May, and June winning the Stanley Cup.

Like we said in our post this week, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane will be present along with some of the new acquisitions and old timers so it will be a good time no matter who’s there!  Here are some morning links to kick off your Friday!
