Which Player Is On A Short Leash?
Best Case Scenario: Bryan Bickell.
The Blackhawks would certainly like to rid themselves of Bickell’s contract this off-season via trade, but if no one is buying, they will have to make the most of it while he is still in Chicago. He needs to be given a chance as a consistent contributor again, and not immediately shunned to the checking line. However, with many young players showing tons of upside, Joel Quenneville shouldn’t be afraid to put him in his place if he isn’t getting the job done.

Worst Case Scenario: Jeremy Morin.
The short leash from both Quenneville and Bowman is something Morin is used to; he felt it tighten many times during his first tenure with the Blackhawks. However, this time around, it’s different. He has matured as a player, with NHL experience under his belt, and now returns to the Blackhawks’ organization on a mission to prove his worth. If a few small mistakes take him out of the ‘Hawks lineup, and put him back in Rockford with the IceHogs, it is a cryin’ shame.
