3. The new guys
We all said a sad (and in one case, shocking) goodbye to Brandon Saad, Patrick Sharp, and Johnny Oduya. At the same time we have welcomed Artem Anisimov, Marko Dano, Trevor Daley and (somewhat begrudgingly) Ryan Garbutt, and have welcomed back Jeremy Morin. Not to say these guys are chopped liver, but have we at least drawn even in return for what we have lost?
You can find some impassioned conversation threads on this very topic in nearly every online comment section. Much like Brad Richards, Antoine Vermette, and Andrew Desjardins, it may take these guys a while to get into the swing of things — a new team, a new city and all the related changes that accompany such big moves.
