Chicago Blackhawks: Top 10 Prospects, Part 1/2
By Skylar Peters

No. 8: Gustav Forsling
Forsling is the first Blackhawks defenseman to crack our top 10, and he does so after a breakout season in the Swedish Elite League. Forsling was acquired by the Blackhawks after the Adam Clendening trade, when the Vancouver Canucks sent his rights to the Windy City. As a 19-year-old, Forsling shows a ton of upside, especially after notching eight points at the World Junior Hockey Championships in seven games and becoming a top-four defenseman with Linkoping HC. Forsling is simply more than a throw-in for the Blackhawks, and they can expect him to make a big contribution in North America in a couple of years, or less.
