The ’Canes finished dead last in the Metropolitan Division last season with 71 points, and it could get worse as they continue their rebuild.

Captain Eric Staal, goaltender Cam Ward and defenseman Justin Faulk are top players, but there are serious questions about Jordan Staal and Jeff Skinner, who were rumored to be on the trade block all offseason.
Things are rather dismal for the Hurricanes, and they may be getting even worse. In a Sports Illustrated piece, Allan Muir reported the ’Canes could be a possible candidate to relocate to Quebec City. Those things aren’t often said about franchises on the rise.
