10. Calgary Flames
The Flames could be the breakout team from the West that shockingly makes a deep playoff run. Calgary has some really exciting youngsters in Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan and newly acquired Dougie Hamilton.
Captain Mark Giordano was off to an amazing start before injuries limited him to just 61 games last season. The Flames will have an intriguing goaltending battle between Jonas Hiller and Karri Ramo. Joni Ortio could also get in the mix for the starting job.

Calgary has an energetic core of young players who have revitalized the once fruitless Flames. It’s hard to imagine Jiri Hudler repeating his incredible 2014-15 season, and the goaltending situation will need to find a solution for the Flames to be true contenders in the Pacific Division.
