4. St. Louis Blues 

The Blues won the Central Division and had a wonderful regular season that was cancelled out by an equally disappointing exit in the first round of the playoffs.

St. Louis is sticking with Ken Hitchcock as head coach and parted ways with T.J. Oshie. They also locked up one of the premier youngsters in the game, Vladimir Tarasenko, to a six-year deal.

It’s a do or die season for the Blues. They will need to translate the regular season success into postseason victories. Much of that will have to do with the goaltending, whether it’s Jake Allen or Brian Elliott. It’s hard to determine whether advancing a round in the playoffs would be a sign of progress for the Blues or something that should have happened two years ago.
