Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Training Camp Opening Day

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The last time we saw the Chicago Blackhawks on the ice they were doing this….

Now after one wild, crazy, highly disappointing summer, the Chicago Blackhawks return to the campus of Notre Dame to kick off their 2015 training camp to prepare to defend their Stanley Cup Championship.

The summer really started with the Brandon Saad trade and spiraled downward from there.  Everyone expected the Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman to trade Patrick Sharp and possibly Kris Versteeg, but the Saad trade was the one that caught everyone off guard.  The thing about the Saad trade is that the Chicago Blackhawks fans may have a new fan favorite in Marko Dano.

Dano and Artem Panarin are two of the biggest reasons why I’m so excited about training camp to start.  Joel Quenneville is going to be forced to play young players that he’s not totally comfortable with, and there’s nothing more exciting than seeing young players getting a shot especially when their talent ceiling is sky high.  Of course the Hawks also acquired a new 2nd line center in Artem Anisimov so there’s a lot to look forward to today.

Here are some morning links to kick off your Friday morning.
