Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Unlike the NFL training camp that seems to last forever, the NHL training camp last four days and before you know it, there is a preseason game right in your face.

The Chicago Blackhawks held their annual Training Camp Festival last night, and three Blackhawk Up writers were there to enjoy the sights and sounds.  They were treated to what really was an AHL scrimmage with Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith sitting this one out, but the house was almost filled to capacity which shows how much the city loves their Blackhawks.

Tonight the Chicago Blackhawks face the Detroit Red Wings, and in preseason games you never know what kind of lineup you will be seeing from the home team.  Usually its a combination of veterans with some youngsters trying to make an impression, so I’m sure we will know who’s in and who’s out sometime this afternoon.  Detroit already posted their gameday roster yesterday.

So after spending all summer wanting hockey, tonight is another step back towards October 7th and the 6th Stanley Cup Banner getting raised at the United Center.  One thing you don’t have to wait for is the morning links, and here they are to kick off your Tuesday morning.
