Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Roster Keeps Shrinking

By Keith Schultz

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Before we start talking about the Chicago Blackhawks did you check out the Supermoon eclipse last night? The last time the there was a Supermoon eclipse was probably the last time the Chicago Bears have been this bad.

Ok back to the Chicago Blackhawks, the roster keeps shrinking and it continued yesterday with the Chicago Blackhawks placing Brandon Mashinter on waivers and now the roster sits at 37.

One player that has made an impression on the coaching staff is Vincent Hinostroza who played very solid Saturday night. He probably won’t make the opening night roster, and is heading to Rockford to start his first professional season but he’s put together a strong training camp which has been noticed by Joel Quenneville.

The other question heading into the final few games is who will be making the team on defense, with one of the players that I thought might make the team in Jan Hejda being cut from the roster Saturday night after the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 victory against the St. Louis Blues.

Should be an interesting decision from Coach Q who makes the team on defense until Michal Rozsival is able to return to the lineup from his playoff injury. Here are some morning links to kick off your work week.
