Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The question that has been asked all summer is finally answered today.. It is finally October! It’s a phrase that has been around for a few years and has caught on pretty good from most hockey fan bases while waiting for the hockey season to return.

The Chicago Blackhawks (along with the Tampa Bay Lightning) had the shortest wait of course since they both played in the Stanley Cup Final in June, but after the champagne stopped flowing with only baseball and golf on the TV, summer sure got boring pretty quickly and the phrase Is it October yet was there once again.

Granted, September brings us training camp and preseason hockey games, but after that little taste everyone is ready for opening night on October 7th, with the 6th Stanley Cup banner to get raised at the United Center.

There of course are a few questions still to be answered about the Chicago Blackhawks roster, but injuries are slowing down that process or making more questions.  Both Artemi Panarin and Michal Rozsival haven’t played this preseason, which has created more questions than answers. Panarin looks to be ready for opening night while Rozsival is still weeks away. The last two preseason games are coming up, who will standout in OCTOBER! Here is your first morning links for the month of October!
