Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- The Loneliest Number

By Keith Schultz

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks! We have finally arrived at the loneliest number before opening day and that is the #1!

The summer really did fly by even when we were complaining about only having golf and baseball to watch when the countdown was in the 60’s and 70’s.  Now It’s October and the leaves are about to change, and the Chicago Blackhawks will be taking to the ice tomorrow night to begin their defense of the Stanley Cup after watching their 3rd banner in 6 seasons get raised to the United Center rafters.

Of course everything can’t be peaches and creme!  Joel Quenneville put out what looks like his opening night lineup, and there were plenty of mixed reviews.  Putting Teuvo Teravainen on the top line is one thing, but a line of Bryan BickellAndrew ShawKyle Baun seems to be the worst third line the Hawks have thrown out there is some time.  Granted with Joel Quenneville behind the bench these lines probably won’t be around for more than a period or two if the Hawks aren’t clicking.

The season is one day away, but for this morning you will have to settle for some morning links to kick off your Tuesday morning.
