Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- North Of The Border

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks make their first appearance against a Central division opponent tonight when they travel north of the border to face off against the Winnipeg Jets.

The Jets haven’t taken off yet this season and are now below the Chicago Blackhawks in the standings, but as we all know it’s still extremely early into the season.

The Winnipeg Jets are looking to make it back to back playoff appearances this season under coach Paul Maurice, and for them to get anything but a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, they will need to defeat teams like the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues on a regular basis.

The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to make this their 5th straight win and 4th straight win since losing Duncan Keith for 6 weeks.  The Chicago Blackhawks defense has been rock solid having not given up a goal in 133 minutes.

The problem has been the offense which is why Stan Bowman called up Tanner Kero in hopes to get some pucks in the net in regulation.  The one thing that’s interesting is that Bryan Bickell is still getting the pressbox treatment and Kero was thrown right into the lineup.
