No. 16: D Bob Murray

Seasons captain: 1985-86

Win percentage: .518 (39-36-8)

Playoff appearances: 1

Longest playoff run: Division semifinal loss

Regular-season statistics as captain: 80 games, 9 goals, 29 assists

Playoff statistics as captain: 3 games, 2 assists

The Blackhawks were the only team Murray ever suited up for, spending 15 seasons with the organization. At age 31, Murray was given his only year of captaincy while with the team, and it produced so-so results. Chicago’s regular-season record was good enough for a division title, but the team was disappointingly ousted in the first round by Toronto. Playoff busts while your team is a No. 1 seed don’t tend to shine kindly on that team’s captain, so Murray can’t go much higher on this list.
