Chicago Blackhawks Vs Vancouver Canucks: TV Listings, Predictions, & More

By Keith Schultz

The Chicago Blackhawks head to Vancouver tonight to take on the Canucks in their second of back to back games and their third game of the circus trip. The Blackhawks are 1-0-1 so far on the circus trip with both games ending in overtime.  The Blackhawks won on a Marian Hossa overtime winner Wednesday night, while Scott Darling did everything he could but wasn’t able to secure the extra point in overtime last night in Calgary.

Tonight’s game is a game that used to be a game circled on the calendar.  The Chicago Blackhawks and the Vancouver Canucks had a great rivalry between 2008-2011, but the Canucks have fallen on hard times even though they made the playoffs last season.  It seems like all the Chicago Blackhawks rivalries have gone by the wayside including the one with the Canucks, but either way the Blackhawks will be looking to finish the first week of the circus trip on a high note with a win in Vancouver.

The Blackhawks offense is really struggling outside of the 2nd line.  Patrick Kane is on 15 game point streak, Artemi Panarin just ended a 6 game point streak, and Artem Anisimov seems to pick up a goal every other game.  The problem of course is the other three lines which includes the top line. Jonathan Toews looks to be playing like he normally does, but his stat lines and advanced stats are no where close to his usual standards.  The Hawks need some top line production to even out the scoring and give balance to the Chicago Blackhawks universe.  Here is the viewing information for tonight’s game.

On to the prediction part of the program, and last night I didn’t get a prediction up but i surely wouldn’t have gone with a 2-1 overtime game.  My predictions for the Edmonton Oilers game were close but not close enough, so on to Saturday’s night game against the Cancuks.

More from Blackhawk Up

Final Score- The Chicago Blackhawks have had some slow starts on the road so far this trip, but tonight the Chicago Blackhawks come out like they did against the St. Louis Blues last week and defeat the Canucks 4-1.  Patrick Kane and Tanner Kero get two of the four goals while Corey Crawford stops 35 of 36 shots.

Three Stars-  Your #1 Star of the Game is Duncan Keith, Your #2 Star of the Game is Patrick Kane, and Your #3 Star of the Game is Daniel Sedin.

What are your predictions for tonight’s game.
