The most improbable victory in Chicago Blackhawks history came in Game #6 of the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals.  The Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks were truly in a slugfest during a very entertaining series that featured overtimes in 3 out of the first 4 games.

The Blackhawks after going down 2-1 had won two straight and were trying to win another Stanley Cup on the road.  Jonathan Toews had scored in the second period to tie up the contest, but as normal for the series the pucks made some crazy bounces for the Bruins and they took a third period lead.

It looked like there was going to be a Game #7 back at the United Center when the Hawks were trailing 2-1 with 100 seconds left.  Patrick Kane entered the zone with Corey Crawford heading to the bench. Jonathan Toews lifted a stick and the next thing you knew he was feeding Bryan Bickell the puck for the tying goal.

Everyone was expecting overtime but Dave Bolland entered the zone and after a deflected shot by Michael Frolik, Bolland knocked in the rebound for a goal 17 seconds after the game tying goal.  The Hawks only had 59 seconds to defend their net and win the 2013 Stanley Cup which was exactly what they did.

It was a crazy ending for a team that made it look routine.

We hoped you enjoyed this trip down memory lane and all the moments to be thankful for as a Chicago Blackhawks fan!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
