Chicago Blackhawks Vs Minnesota Wild: Live Streaming, Predictions, & More

By Keith Schultz

The month of December kicks off with a Central Division Classic having the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the Minnesota Wild at the United Center tonight.  The Chicago Blackhawks are 8-2-1 at home this season so they will be looking to get on an extended role with 7 out their next 9 games on United Center Ice including tonight’s game.

The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off a 3-1-2 circus trip, but the cracks that have been there all season long are still there… They haven’t got any production no matter what Joel Quenneville does with the lines outside of the 2nd line.  If you throw out Patrick Kane, Artem Anisimov and Artemi Panarin the Hawks would be averaging less than a goal a game which is NOT the Chicago Blackhawks that he have come to know and love the past 8 seasons.

The Chicago Blackhawks are winning games without any balance in scoring and Coach Q still is tinkering daily with his lineup.  Coach Q needs to find a permanent spot for Marko Dano and Teuvo Teravainen to grow some cohesiveness within their offense. It’s one thing to move Marian Hossa around on lines, but the youngsters need stability to grow.

The Minnesota Wild are 3 points behind the Chicago Blackhawks in the standings, but they have two games in hand and yes it’s December and I still look at the standings nightly. Zach Parise returned to the lineup after an early season injury against the Dallas Stars so we may see him tonight ,but possibly not totally 100%. The Wild were 4-3-1 without Parise in the lineup which really speaks to their depth.

Here is the viewing information for tonight’s contest from the United Center.

Now to the fun part of the program and the predictions.  We missed the predictions for the LA game but I’m sure we wouldn’t have predicted the Chicago Blackhawks losing their 42 game streak of winning games when they enter the third period with a lead so there’s that.

FINAL SCORE PREDICTION– The Blackhawks and Wild play a rare offensive game and the Chicago Blackhawks defeat the Wild 5-3 in a fun game to watch.  Patrick Kane extends his point streak with a goal, and Teuvo Teravainen picks up a goal in the Hawks victory.

Three Stars of the Night

Star #1- Marian Hossa with 2 assists

Star #2- Patrick Kane with 1 goal and 1 assist

Star #3 Trevor Daley with 2 assists.
