Chicago Blackhawks Vs Winnipeg Jets: TV Listings, Predictions, & More

By Keith Schultz

What a great Sunday, The Chicago Blackhawks play a matinee game right after a Chicago Bears home game.  This is what sports is all about and the older you get the better it feels to have it all over in time for a late dinner.

The Chicago Blackhawks have a lot of home games and a bunch of games against the Central Division this month so it’s time to start stringing some wins together and give themselves some breathing room in the standings.

So here comes the Winnipeg Jets winners of two straight games.  Their record is pretty vanilla.. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games, and they are 6-8-1 on the road this season. The Jets have given up the most goal within the Central Division with 82, but they have scored the second most with 75 only trailing the first place Dallas Stars in that category.

The Chicago Blackhawks will be looking for offense from anywhere except their second line which has been fantastic all season long.  The biggest issue for the Hawks has been the lack of scoring from Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.  Both players look extremely close to breaking out, but they just can’t seem to get over that hump.  Toews had two great chances against the Wild and another one late in the game against the Ottawa Senators but nothing to show for it on the scoresheet.

Of course the biggest story of the night will be if Patrick Kane can pick up the point and become the new franchise record holder of 22 games with a point breaking the tie he’s currently in with Blackhawks legend Bobby Hull.  With two days off you know #88 had to be thinking about it a lot this weekend.

On to the prediction part of the program. I predicted a high scoring affair against the Senators and was close, but the only correct prediction I made was that Bobby Ryan would be the #3 star of the night.
