Chicago Blackhawks Vs Edmonton Oilers: TV Listings, Predictions, & More

By Keith Schultz

The last time we watched the Chicago Blackhawks it was one of their worst performances of the season and in the end it was a shutout loss and the end of the longest point streak in Chicago Blackhawks history.

For the Chicago Blackhawks it’s the same old same old for the 2015-2016 season which is if the Patrick Kane, Artem Anisimov, Artemi Panarin line doesn’t produce it’s going to be a long night for the Hawks in the scoring department.  The Hawks are now 0-3 in the three games that Patrick Kane hasn’t picked up a point, and in those three games they have scored a grand total of one goal.

The scoring depth has never been this bad during the Joel Quenneville era with only one line producing normally it’s been three to four lines producing goals and energy.  The problem is when they do have chances to make things happen it’s and epic fail, just look at this past game when Andrew Shaw gave Bryan Bickell the puck on the doorstep, but Bickell couldn’t lift the puck past Semyon Varlamov and it became another frustrating night watching the bottom 6 of the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Edmonton Oilers are one of the most improved teams in the Pacific Division and one of the hottest going 7-2-1 in their last 10.  This is all without all world prodigy Connor McDavid who’s been out with a broken clavicle since the earliest parts of the season.  The biggest reason the Oilers have been successful has been the great play of Taylor Hall who is finally playing up to his potential. Hall is fourth in the NHL in points trailing only Patrick Kane, Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin.

The Blackhawks have scored four goals in the two games they have played against the Oilers so far this season, but that was before the Oilers offense really kicked into gear so this should be a fun game to watch. Here is the TV listings for tonight’s contest from the United Center.
