Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks are home tonight against the Ottawa Senators, but the biggest story of the day yesterday had to be the fact that Patrick Kane was officially named the Captain of the Central Division at this years All-Star Game in Nashville.

It’s been such a roller coaster ride for Kane this season. He’s gone from 3 Time Stanley Cup Champion and on Top of the World, to being investigated on a rape charge in upstate New York, to being celebrated for a 26 game point streak which was the longest in the NHL since the 90’s to now being named Captain of the new format at the All-Star game.   Kane leads the NHL with 56 points and in the last calendar year would have scored over 100 points.

The best thing to happen lately to the Hawks scoring is the Phillip Danault line.  The line with Andrew Desjardins and Teuvo Teravainen has found some secondary scoring for the Hawks with Desjardins able to find the back of the net.  I really have liked Danault’s game since getting the call up, and I hope he continues to grow in the role he’s starting to establish.

It’s game day at the United Center, and here is some morning links to kick off your Sunday morning.
