4. Marian Hossa Scores 500th Goal

He is so close. While Hossa is finally showing signs of age, he is still proving that he can hang in this league. With the first line finding its stride recently, we should expect Mr. Hossa to meet a goal that only 42 NHL players have ever achieved. Should he score nine more goals in 42 games — or the 2016 portion of next regular season, if it’s required — Hossa will also become one of four ‘Hawks to achieve this goal.

3. The Crawford Haters Disappear

CRAWFEEEEEERD. CRAWFEEEEEERD.

Its a chant that ‘Hawks fans are all too familiar with. Fortunately, the idiocy of other fanbases causes them to say this when Corey Crawford isn’t even in net, so we all get a good laugh. Honestly, it’s refreshing.

Crawford is on pace for career highs in almost every single stat category this season. While he has proven to be streaky in his past, this is going away. He was the undisputed MVP of the ‘Hawks in the 2nd half of the 2014-15 season and continued his high level of play after … a blunder versus Nashville. Without that series, Crawford had stats that would make Carey Price cringe, and that was even with four defensemen.

Crawford is the franchise goaltender. He’s worth every penny. Everyone will soon realize.
