Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Yes, we had to come up with some sort of bakery title for last night’s game after Artemi Panarin scored twice again against the Pittsburgh Penguins last night which gave him 4 goals in two nights with two game winning goals.  The Breadman started doing something everyone was hoping he would start doing since the beginning of the season which is start shooting the puck.

For much of the first half of the season, Panarin was always looking to give the puck back to Patrick Kane which is usually a good thing, but at times he was passing great opportunities to score goals only to get the puck back to Kane.  This mentality has changed the last two games against the Penguins, and Panarin has been in shoot first mode. Panarin’s goals have helped the Blackhawks stay on their own roll which is picking up 5 straight victories as they have steamrolled to 2nd place in the Central Division, and they are currently only 6 points away from the top spot.

The story of the week has to be Panarin, and after the game even the NBCSN post-game crew was yucking it up calling him Yeast Mode.  Not sure about that Hashtag, but it sure is nice that Stan Bowman was able to sign Panarin for this season.  Since we are on a roll, here are some morning links to make sure your morning isn’t Stale.
