Good Morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks are on a rare January winning streak this year. Normally the Hawks winning streaks are in the end of November and most of December, so this season it’s nice to be picking up 2 points a night in the dead of winter.

The other nice thing that happened last night was the other lines besides the one #88 Patrick Kane resides on picking up the scoring.  It was really nice to see Phillip Danault pick up his first career NHL goal late in the third period to give the Hawks the lead. His celebration after the goal was pretty good too.

Next up for the Chicago Blackhawks is a team that is just as hot as the Chicago Blackhawks and that’s the Colorado Avalanche. They have been steamrolling teams lately which includes last nights 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators.  The Av’s are now tied for the 2nd wild card spot in the Western Conference and we all know the issues the Hawks have with Semyon Varlamov so Sunday night at the United Center should be quite a battle.

The Hawks are now 3 points ahead of the St. Louis Blues for 2nd in the Central Division, and that’s a reason to celebrate and oh by the way here are some morning links to kick off your weekend.
