Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Florida Pothole

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks 12 game winning streak and winning ways hit a serious pothole in the Sunshine state this week.  Not only did they lose on Thursday night in Tampa Bay, they got whipped in South Florida last night losing 4-0 and leaving their mini Florida swing without a point.

It seemed liked the whole Richard Panik sleeping through the morning practice skate on Thursday and getting a nice plush seat in the pressbox for Thursday night’s game against the Tampa Lightning set the tone for the entire Florida swing.  If you throw out the Chicago Blackhawks goal against the Lightning in the first minute, the Hawks were shut out for both games and never really looked to scare the opposing goalies for much of either contest.

The Hawks were riding high before the trip to Florida, but now after two straight real stinkers it almost seems like it’s back to the drawing board and back to the same struggles of the Blackhawks not being able to score if the Patrick Kane line gets shut down.   The Hawks of course are still in first place in the Central Division, but the Florida trip will need to be the exception not the rule.  Here are some morning links to kick off your weekend.
