The Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars are back on the ice at the United Center tonight in a battle for first place in the Central Division. The two teams have faced off twice already this season with both contests being in Dallas and both games being a blow out.
The first game was all Dallas when they were riding high in December, but the Chicago Blackhawks paid them back last weekend with a 5-1 wipeout on the Stars home ice.
The problem with the Chicago Blackhawks tonight will be the fact that the Breadman Artemi Panarin will be missing his second straight game due to illness which has been classified as the same sickness that sidelined Jonathan Toews for an extended period of time.

With Panarin missing, Joel Quenneville will shuffle his lineup once again this time putting Richard Panik on the second line after Teuvo Teravainen looked pretty tentative for most of the game and will be heading back to his normal third line wing position. Panik looks comfortable out there and is kind of surprising that he wasn’t playing in the NHL before his trade to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Corey Crawford will be making his fourth straight start since the All-Star break, and while I know that Crawford is having a sensational season, but I really wish that Coach Q would ride him a little less in the regular season and give Scott Darling a start or two. I know this is a big game and Crawford should be in net yet I hope he isn’t burnt out come April.
The Dallas Stars after a real rough January have been back to their winning ways since the All-Star break if you throw out the Blackhawks game, so I’m really looking forward to a good game after two blow outs this season. Here are the listings for tonight’s game.

On to the predictions, and I didn’t predict a Blackhawks team getting shut out on home ice so no reason to look back so we can just look ahead to tonight.
