The Chicago Blackhawks are on a two game losing streak, and even though the Chicago Blackhawks are in first place fans are starting to already panic a bit with the team not looking like the team that won 12 straight or won three straight after the All-Star Game.

The NHL season is a long season and there are always going to be up and downs, and when one of your best players has been out due to illness the team could struggle offensively which is exactly what happened for 5 out of the 6 periods that the Hawks have played without Artemi Panarin in the lineup this past week.

After  Friday’s practice which featured board battles which is a pretty good indicator that Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville is not happy with the performance of his team as of late, but the good news after practice is that Panarin should be back in the lineup on Saturday night.  Patrick Kane would have to be the happiest to see his teammate back in the lineup tonight, because along with the Breadman, Artem Anisimov have had such a great season and seem to always know where one another is on the ice.

The one thing I wish Coach Q would change is give Scott Darling some playing time,  and after going 13-13 on shots seen in relief of Corey Crawford on Thursday night, Darling will be back on the bench and Crawford will be back in net starting once again. I’m not saying playing your #1 goalie is bad, but having a little more rest for Crawford is what I’m looking for.

The Ducks were awful for most of this season, and for almost the entire first half of the season they were on the outside of the playoff bubble looking in, but they have turned things around and are actually scoring goals which was their biggest problem for most of the season.  It should be a good game and here are the listings for tonight’s contest
