Good morning and Happy Leap Day Chicago Blackhawks fans! It only happens once every four years so why not get excited about it right.  It must really stink to be born on February 29th and have to celebrate your birthday once every four years, but I digress so on to our normal talk about the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Hawks looked like their normal selves yesterday especially the final 40 minutes of the game with the new lines starting to mesh.  The two newest Chicago Blackhawks looked pretty comfortable in their first game. Andrew Ladd picked up an assist on the Jonathan Toews goal, and almost everyone was excited about how Tomas Fleischmann played in his first ever appearance.

The only player missing is Dale Weise and most people are ready to see him in a Chicago Blackhawks jersey.  Weise should bring a pyhsical element that both Ladd and Leischmann bring which is something that has been missing since Bryan Bickell stopped hitting people in the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs.  Not that the Hawks game needs to be a bruiser, but watching them finishing off their checks is a pleasant site.

The trade deadline made things pretty exciting, and there is still 7 hours left for Stan Bowman to dump Bickell on someone, in the meantime here are some morning links to kick off your work week.
