Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans!  The calendar has turned to March and as the saying goes In Like a Lion, but the best part of it being the month of March is the fact the trade deadline has finally passed, and the playoffs are only a month and a half away.

The regular season used to be a fun adventure with players becoming household names and young phenoms becoming NHL players, but now the entire season is only based on the Stanley Cup Playoffs and if another Cup can be captured by this core group of Chicago Blackhawks.

It’s funny how quickly it turns when you have a lot of success that it’s almost a burden to watch regular season games when you know the reward starts in the middle of April. The great thing is that Stan Bowman loaded up the roster for the stretch run and gave coach Joel Quenneville the pieces to capture back to back Cups and their 4th in 7 seasons.

The Hawks still have a lot of work to do with them not really solidifying their defense, but they seem to have the pieces to roll 4 lines once again after a season when the Hawks really only relied on the Patrick Kane line.  It will be very exciting to see what the Hawks have when Marian Hossa returns from injury and Dale Weise figures out his Visa issues.  Here are some morning links to kick off your Tuesday morning.
