Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks are off again today before they return to the United Center tomorrow night for a rematch against the Detroit Red Wings.  As we all know the Hawks defeated Detroit at Joe Louis Arena Wednesday night 5-2 and after that game everyone felt super good about the Blackhawks even without the newly acquired Dale Weise and returning soon from injury Marian Hossa.

Of course the Blackhawks came out flat against the Boston Bruins and lost 4-2, but even with that I feel like most people feel the same as me that they are now looking a little bit ahead to the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Sure there are things to look forward to in this regular season.  Patrick Kane is trying to secure the first American born scoring title and first Chicago Blackhawks player to win the scoring title since the late 1960’s.  Corey Crawford could become only the 2nd Blackhawks goalie to win 40 wins in a season, and will Marian Hossa be able to get on a mini-goal streak and get to 500 career goals.

You can tell we are now spoiled though and we start getting restless when the calendar hits March and we can’t enjoy the regular season. All that matters in this golden era of Chicago Blackhawks hockey is Stanley Cup Championships so I really just want the calendar to Flashforward to April and get this party started.. While we wait for Sunday’s game which is one of 16 left, here are some morning links to kick off your weekend.
