Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans!  When the Chicago Blackhawks faced off against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night, it was the latest the two old rivals had ever met for the first time in a season, and yet in a matter of a few days we will have played them twice in a week and more than likely we won’t see them again until 2016-2017 season. As I’ve said before, it’s a tough job writing an NHL schedule, but it would be nice to see the Eastern Conference teams in different parts of the season.

The Chicago Blackhawks looked like world killers on Wednesday night, and then they looked pretty vulnerable on Thursday night when Boston handed them a pretty handy 4-2 defeat.

The one player that was missing the past week as the Chicago Blackhawks introduced seemingly a new player each game has been Marian Hossa and although the hope was that we would see him on the ice Sunday, it was announced yesterday that Hossa will not play today, but will be making the trip to St. Louis on Wednesday night.

It’s not like the Hawks have played horrible without Hossa, but it will be really exciting to see how he meshes with the newly acquired Andrew Ladd on the top line with Jonathan Toews.  It’s a top line that the Hawks been missing all season long, and I can’t wait to see this shutdown line with a ton of offensive ability on the ice together heading for the stretch run.

It’s game day and here are some morning links to kick off you Sunday Gameday!
