The Chicago Blackhawks are back at home at the United Center after running to the Eastern Conference for some Original 6 action. The Old School hockey rivalries continue tonight when the Red Wings make their only visit to Chicago.

The game Wednesday night was a blowout when the Hawks capitalized on seemingly every mistake the Red Wings made on Wednesday night with Artemi Panarin scoring twice with two rockets. One was from close range on basically a tap in from a great set up from Patrick Kane, and the second one was a true blast from another feed from #88.

The Chicago Blackhawks looked like they were ready to be crowned Stanley Cup Champs after the beating of the Red Wings, but then looked like an average team on a back to back night in their loss to the Boston Bruins.

The Chicago Blackhawks still are not completely healthy with Marian Hossa still missing today’s game with the hope of playing Wednesday night in St. Louis.  I believe most Chicago Blackhawks fans are looking forward to watching the Andrew LaddJonathan ToewsMarian Hossa line do some serious damage the last month of the season and into the playoffs.

One line that already has chemistry is the Tomas Fleischmann Dale Weise combo with Teuvo Teravainen in the middle.. The former Montreal Canadiens scored on their first shift together with Teuvo, and now the Hawks could have four lines that can score which should make things a little easier for the Kane line on a nightly basis.

The Red Wings still control their own playoff destiny, and should comfortably be able to extend their long playoff streak, but today against the Hawks they need to minimize their mistakes or it could be a repeat of the blowout Wednesday night.   Here are the listings for this evenings game.

After getting close to getting my predictions correct, I struck out Thursday night when the Hawks lost soundly to the Boston Bruins, so it’s time to back to work and get some predictions correct.

Final Score Prediction– The Hawks shake off the Bruins loss and with the help of the home crowd easily sweep the Red Wings with a 5-1 victory with Kane picking up 2 points to hit the 90 point plateau.

Three Stars Prediction

#1 Star- Corey Crawford

#2 Star- Duncan Keith

#3 Star- Patrick Kane
