Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks were able to tie up the game very late in the third period to secure a point, but they couldn’t win it in overtime or in the shootout even though the Blues no longer have T.J. Oshie so they had to settle for an overtime loss and one point on the road.

The old saying was trying to pick up at least a point on the road so the Hawks did a good job in part of their mission last night. The one point moved them into a tie for first place with the Dallas Stars and the St. Louis Blues are right there in the mix only a point back.

fThe one stat that is truly amazing about the Chicago Blackhawks in the last two years is the fact that they have entered the final period with a lead 69 times and they have never suffered a regulation loss in two seasons.

Of course the only depressing part of that stat is the last time the Hawks lost after leading after 2 periods was Game #7 of the 2014 Western Conference Finals.

The Hawks will be on the road Friday night against the Dallas Stars with first place on the line so it’s a fun week battling the top of the Central Division, and here are some morning links to kick off your Thursday morning.
