Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! It’s Friday night lights in Texas tonight and no we aren’t  talking about John Riggins and Coach Taylor and football, but we are talking about the Chicago Blackhawks visiting the Dallas Stars with first place on the line in the Central Division.

The Chicago Blackhawks picked up a road point on Wednesday night during rivalry night against the St. Louis Blues, but they really shot themselves in the foot with dumb third period penalties including the worst which is too many men on the ice.  It seems like the Hawks get called for this once every other game.  In years past it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but with the Chicago Blackhawks best two penalty killers on the mend in Marian Hossa and Marcus Kruger every penalty gets highlighted more than normal.

The Blues scored on their chances in the final frame, and it took a late Artemi Panarin snipe to get the road point.  Tonight, the Hawks need to match the Stars speed and pressure from the get go while playing a disciplined game and staying out of the penalty box. It should be an exciting game from Big D, and before we get to watch the game here are some morning links to kick off your Friday.
