The dreaded matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks may happen again in this year’s Conference Finals. I say dreaded because the Kings have been the Blackhawks’ kryptonite recently. Whenever they meet, the series is always phenomenal and the Kings know how to beat the ‘Hawks. This season, the ‘Hawks have been 1-0-1 with another game coming up tonight.

More from Blackhawk Up

The Kings have one of the best goalies on the face of the earth on Jonathan Quick, who has been having a fantastic season with a .919 save percentage and a 2.18 goals-against average. With Quick in net this season, the Kings have the best goals-against rating with 154 goals against. They have some great forwards, including Milan Lucic up top and Dustin Brown down on the third line, and they have some great defensive players who have stepped up. The defense is nothing outstanding, but when a team has Quick in net, I can go out there and play defense and the team would be fine. Hopefully the Kings do not make it far enough for this matchup to happen this year.
