Chicago Blackhawks Artemi Panarin Left Russia’s Game Early At World Championships

The after shock of the Chicago Blackhawks getting knocked out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the first round was starting to fade away this week with the arrival of the World Championships and the ability to watch some of the Chicago Blackhawks on the ice at a tournament they haven’t been involved in for quite sometime.

The greatest worry of having players playing in exhibitions is one thing and one major thing and that is injury.  So, when we woke up this morning after celebrating Mother’s Day and started checking out Twitter this was a very disturbing tweet to read.

The problem with the World Championships this year with this type of story is that the venue is Russia, and there aren’t any Chicago Blackhawks beat writers across the big pond taking in the World Championships so getting information is hard to find after reading this tweet this morning.

Everything out there which is a bit sketchy has been that the injury is believed to be minor, but there is this report basically stating that the injury is still uncertain at this point.

The reports I initially read were a leg injury, but it’s looking like a shoulder injury for Panarin whether it’s minor or serious this is the problem with exhibition hockey and your favorite teams stars or stars on the rise playing in them.

Here is just a few reactions on Twitter from the announcement that Panarin had been injured at the World Championships with the last one being my thoughts exactly.
