Chicago Blackhawks’ Best At Each Sweater, Nos. 11-20
By Colin Likas

No. 12: C/RW Ed Litzenberger (1955-61)
How far back can we go here? As far back as we need to, apparently, as the best to wear No. 12 with the Blackhawks did so before franchise expansion ever took place.
Litzenberger was the team captain from 1958-61 after being moved from Montreal in the midst of a Calder Trophy-worthy season in 1955. He’d go on to be a really durable member of the Blackhawks, playing in 70 regular-season games four times.
Litzenberger netted 30-plus goals three times and 60-plus points three times as well. The six-time All-Star won a Stanley Cup with Chicago in his last season with the club before going on to three Cups in three tries with Toronto ahead of retirement.
