Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Just Another Monday

By Keith Schultz

Good Morning Chicago Blackhawks fans!

Well, it’s just another Monday morning at the beginning of August when kids start getting ready for their first day of school and parents are glad they are finally done playing video games until 2 in the morning, thankful they got some exercise by playing Pokemon GO.

As a Chicago Blackhawks fan another Monday morning in August means we are closer to October 12th and some real Chicago Blackhawks hockey.  It also means we are a month or so away from the start of training camp where we will get to witness which Blackhawks prospects are ready for the jump to Chicago and which ones will be in Rockford for another season.

Another Monday means we are closer to seeing if Michal Kempny will be the next Artemi Panarin to come over from the KHL and star for the Chicago Blackhawks or will he be just another David Rundblad and disappoint us for a season.

We are just another Monday away from seeing if Brian Campbell still has a lot left in the tank or if he will start showing signs of being a 37 year old defenseman. Will Campbell turn the Chicago Blackhawks defense back to a high octane core that it was during the Johnny Oduya era.

We are another Monday away from not writing the same stuff every day, and we can start talking about action on the ice.  It’s been a long time since April 25th and this long summer is really starting to get annoying.. Come on October show up soon.
