The third version of our Chicago Blackhawks sweater countdown begins with a legend

So far in our glance at the Chicago Blackhawks’ history of sweater numbers, we’ve gone through Nos. 1 through 20. We’ve seen guys from the present (Duncan Keith, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Jonathan Toews) and others from the past (Glenn Hall, Pierre Pilote, Bobby Hull, Denis Savard) who wore their number best.

Now it’s time to move on to the next set of 10 numbers, some of which don’t have quite the bulk of players to choose from. While many of the previous numbers have been worn by upwards of 20 guys, only one number (22) between 21 and 30 has seen more than 19 Blackhawks use it.

That should make narrowing down the best player at each of those numbers a little easier. And it really doesn’t get much easier than the choice for No. 21.

Next: No. 21
