No. 25: D Cam Barker (2005-10)

This is a really unfortunate selection, but the quality of players to wear No. 25 is extremely low. If the Blackhawks wouldn’t have given up on Dan Cleary so quickly, he could be in this spot. Instead it’s Barker, who can be remembered for two things.

First, Barker was part of the 2008-09 team that proved the Blackhawks were on the rise. And he was actually decent, producing 40 points in the regular season and nine more in the playoffs.

The second thing Barker is known for is a fleecing of a trade with Minnesota. Barker was sent there during the 2009-10 season for Kim Johnsson and Nick Leddy. Johnsson was supposed to be the key part of the deal, but an injury rendered him useless. Leddy, however, became a solid defenseman for the Blackhawks for a few years. Barker was out of the league by 2013.
