Brent Seabrook: 300 assists, 400 points, 900 games

Some big numbers on deck for Seabrook, and they’re all obtainable this season. The games played mark is probably easiest, as Seabrook has proven extremely durable in his career. He needs 56 games to reach 900, a number he’s never failed to surpass in a full NHL season.

On the assists, side, Seabrook needs 18 helpers to reach 300. Again, this is a mark he’s never failed to hit in a full NHL season. He also needs 33 points to reach 400, and while that’s not a mark he hits as regularly (he had 31 points two seasons ago), it still seems well within reach this year.

Viktor Svedberg: 50 games

We’re going small with the biggest man on the roster. It’s anyone’s guess as to how many games Svedberg will get in the NHL this season (same issue as Gustafsson above). If he can get on the ice 23 times, he’ll reach 50 big-league contests.

Jonathan Toews: 600 points, 700 games

Both of these goals are achievable for the captain this season, and with the Blackhawks not coming off a Stanley Cup win, you can bet he’s looking to rack up the points and push his team forward unto glory. Toews will need 36 points to reach 600. Considering he’s never had less than 54 in a full NHL season, that one should be reached.

And if he stays healthy, Toews will also reach 700 games. He’ll need to play in 55 of 82 games, something he’s done in every full NHL season of his career.

Jordin Tootoo: 100 assists, 700 games

Tootoo doesn’t have the greatest on-ice reputation, but the guy has been around a while. So it’s not surprising he has some bigger individual achievement numbers on the table. If he gets five assists this season — a number he’s hit on the nose each of the last two seasons — he’ll get to 100 for his career. We know Coach Q will give Tootoo every opportunity to get there.

The 700 games actually isn’t a certainty, even though Tootoo needs just 27 games to get there. With Mashinter around and the Blackhawks needing actual offensive production from their bottom-six forwards, Tootoo’s time in Chicago may not last that long.

Trevor van Riemsdyk: 200 blocks

While TVR had a rough first full season in the NHL last year, he did do one thing pretty well: blocking shots. He racked up 155 blocks, four more than notorious shot-blocker Hjalmarsson. if TVR can get smacked by 30 more pucks this season, he’ll hit 200 for his short career. Seems reasonable considering the number he had the season prior — his issue is just making sure he isn’t hurt by said pucks.
