Chicago Blackhawks’ Best At Each Sweater, Nos. 41-50

No. 43: Brandon Saad (2011-12)
Blackhawks fans will recall Saad as No. 20 with Chicago. Ah, but he wore No. 43 with the team in a brief two-game call-up during the 2011-12 season. And do we really want James Wisniewski to be the winner of this spot? Didn’t think so.
Saad finally got his chance (albeit in No. 20) to make a serious impact when Daniel Carcillo went down in 2013. Make an impact Saad did, as he collected 26 points in just 47 games and went on to become a solid piece of Chicago’s top six (when Joel Quenneville could be bothered to put him there).
Saad finished with 126 points in 208 regular-season games for Chicago, but he really hit his mark in the 2014 and 2015 playoffs. He collected 16 points in the former and 11 in the latter to serve as an important piece for both teams, and he wound up with two Cups for his troubles (in 2013 and 2015; sorry, 2014).
