Good Morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! This is the final Monday of the month of August and it’s time for this long hot summer to draw to an end, and let the NHL season kick off!

I’m sure you’re tired of reading about how long this summer has been since the Chicago Blackhawks were eliminated at the end of April in the opening round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

To make matters worse this just seems like a very hot summer with the heat never going away, and now we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with training camp coming next month and the World Cup of Hockey coming soon.

The Chicago Blackhawks will have players in the World Cup of Hockey and then training camp will be right around the corner which is some pretty exciting stuff except for maybe the fact that the Chicago Cubs are poised to make a deep run this year.

There are so many questions to answer especially on the bottom six that I’m really excited to see what Joel Quenneville will do with his roster this year.  I want to see which prospects shine and step up and which ones will reserve themselves a year long trip with the Rockford Ice Hogs.

One player that has been in the system a long time and will really be wanting to have a strong showing at training camp has to be Mark McNeill.  He isn’t mentioned with any of the prospects like Tyler Motte, Nick Schmaltz, and Vincent Hinostroza, but I will be interested to see how he plays next month.
