Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The World Cup of Hockey exhibition games are in full swing and Team USA has one more game on Tuesday, and by the end of the week the tournament will be kicked off!

The Chicago Blackhawks season starts 30 days from now, and training camp kicks off a week from this Friday, but what every hockey fan will probably be talking about this coming week will be the World Cup of Hockey.

My question for weeks has been how excited are you about this World Cup of Hockey, and to be honest I’m sure the closer we get to the tournament kicking off and when the games get started the excitement will start to build up.

To be honest especially after the injuries to Marian Hossa and Marcus Kruger, I haven’t been very excited at all about this tournament with it being before the season.  The one thing all the Chicago Blackhawks veterans said after the first round exit last April was that they wanted rest and that they would come back better than ever this season.

The one thing with the World Cup is extra games that the core of the Blackhawks will have to play before the season even starts.  Throw in the injuries to Hossa who I really wish was bypassing the World Cup and you can feel why I’m ready for this tournament to be over before it even starts.

That being said if it’s Patrick Kane and Team USA vs Jonathan Toews and Team Canada in the Championship game we will all be pretty pumped for the game I believe.
