Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks have one more game to go before their October 12th opening night contest at the United Center against the St. Louis Blues.
The Chicago Blackhawks finally looked like a team that we should be excited about on Tuesday night with the kids playing like they belong while putting pucks into the back of the net after starting the preseason without being able to shoot the puck into the ocean.
The Chicago Blackhawks now only have one preseason game before the start of the regular season, and after Tuesday nights game there are a lot of questions to that still need to be answered before Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman make final roster moves.
The two biggest question marks have to be Alexandre Fortin and Gustav Forsling. Both players are all or nothing this season it appears. For Fortin it looks like he’s probably going to head back to Juniors, but man his speed and skill make him look like he could easily fit in on the top line with Jonathan Toews and help him get back to scoring goals and not just be a glorified checking line.
The other question mark is if Forsling makes the team, because if he doesn’t he will be heading back to his club team in Sweden. If the Hawks keep Forsling on the roster does that mean they can finally say goodbye to Michal Rozsival? Don’t get me wrong, Rozsival has played many meaningful minutes in a Hawks jersey, but his time should be at an end not tying up roster space.
Lots of questions with only one game left which will make Saturday’s night game some must see hockey!
